Business Office
Admissions/Registration Clerk
Full Time position. The function of this role has a dual purpose, reception and registration. As the receptionist for Pershing General Hospital it is vital that all telephone calls and patients are greeted in a courteous and professional manner. Phone calls are to be directed promptly and accurately to the correct area and patients, visitors and staff are to be treated with respect. The Registration clerk is responsible for registering all patients seeking service at the hospital and obtaining prior authorization for services when applicable. The clerk collects all demographic data that is needed to process the patient and ensures that all data is entered into the hospital computer system accurately to meet Billing and Medical Records requirements. The clerk obtains all necessary signatures and copies any documents needed to process the patient, such as, but not limited to physician orders, insurance verification, drivers license. The registration clerk is responsible for collection of co-pays at the time of service. Prepares the deposit of monies collected for accounts payable. Complies with hospital and department policies and procedures and is expected to accomplish all assigned duties without supervision and has responsibility to prioritize duties based on patient needs. The clerk will also accept payments on patient bills. Answers patient inquiries or directs people to the person who can help them. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED. Working knowledge of computers including Microsoft word and excel. Previous admitting experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Technical Skills: Familiar with computer keyboarding, Type 30 WPM. This is a benefited position, PTO, PERS, health, dental and life.
Clinic
Certified Nursing Assistant
Full Time position. NV State Licensure/CPR. This CNA position will work full time in the Clinic as the CNA for the Nurse Practitioner. Previous Clinic experience is preferred. Duties include taking patient vitals, patient history, assist provider with referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, print dictation of all visits and pull radiology reports from system. Must have excellent internal and external customer service skills. Must be able to file and computer knowledge.
Clinic Receptionist
Per Diem position. The position provides reception and related clerical support of the physician’s practice. The incumbent schedules and assures that all patients and visitors are greeted courteously and professionally, collects payments and completes daily accounting functions. The position is required to communicate effectively and professionally with other clinic personnel, medical staff, various departments of the hospital and other clinics. Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions, maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality at all times. The position requires a high school diploma. Must be willing to attend educational classes to increase effective skills for the front office. Requires knowledge of multi-line phone system, filing system, calculators, copiers, typewriters and computers. Must have good problem solving skills and a high level of tact, and public relations skills to deal with patients, co-workers, and physicians in an effective, professional manner. Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and accounts receivable software preferred. Current CPR certification preferred. Per Diem is an as needed position. Hours are not guaranteed for per diem employment and may be called to cover absences and vacations.
Clinic CNA

Clinic LPN and/or RN
Per Diem position. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect patient care through the use of selected nursing skills under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services or physician (clinics). The RN/LPN recognizes and provides for basic and intermediate care needs. The RN/LPN is able to recognize and report urgent and emergent situations. The position requires the ability to follow detailed instructions. This is an as needed position and may be called to cover absences and vacations. Hours are not guaranteed for per diem employment. Graduate of an approved school of nursing required. One-year current experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse required. Manual dexterity and physical agility to operate all equipment and perform all procedures. Utilizes safe body mechanics to ensure patient and caregiver safety. Current State of Nevada license – LPN or RN. Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
Acute/ER
Registered Nurse
Per Diem positions. Per diem staff are utilized to fill an on an intermittent basis for vacation, illness, etc. No benefits, no guarantee of hours or shifts. Current Nevada RN license, CPR, ACLS, and TNCC required. Previous experience preferred.
Certified Nursing Assistant
Full Time position. Day Shift. Candidate must possess current Nevada State Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant License and CPR. Acute/ER experience preferred, but not necessary. PERS and benefits.
Per Diem positions. Per diem staff are utilized to fill in on an intermittent basis for vacation, illness, etc. No benefits, no guarantee of hours or shifts. Current Nevada CNA license, CPR required. Previous experience preferred
Long Term Care
Registered Nurse
Per Diem positions. Per diem staff are utilized to fill in on an intermittent basis for vacation, illness, etc. No benefits, no guarantee of hours or shifts. Current Nevada RN license required, CPR. Previous experience preferred.
Licensed Practical Nurse
Per Diem position. Per diem staff are utilized to fill in on an intermittent basis for vacation, illness, etc. No benefits, no guarantee of hours or shifts. Current Nevada LPN license required, CPR. Previous experience preferred.
Certified Nurse Assistant

Activities Aide
Per Diem position. CPR required. This position assists the Activities Department to ensure residents and patients receive activities for daily functioning. The Aide will assist with daily activities, participate in events outside the facility.
